Artist’s Statement

After graduating with an MA in Design and Applied Arts from the University of Wolverhampton, I enjoy inspiring others with my vision of the world through my work. I work with mixed wool yarn and cotton fabric for tufting, rag rugs and punch on my rugs and wall hangings. I design all my own rugs and wall hangings. Each design has its name, depending on what I see in that particular design.

I am mainly inspired by nature, but I am also fascinated by contemporary architecture. I am a big fan of such artists as Joan Miro, Yayoi Kusama, and the Latvian artist Elita Patmalniece.

My designs, in turn, will please others with their unique elements, as well as bright and saturated colour tones, and will take to a surreal world where everything is possible, and every day is an opportunity to look at the design from a different perspective.
